About

My work is inspired by my fascination with objects and consumer culture. Through my career in advertising and as a fellow consumer, the experience of the inanimate object is something that is ever-present.

I use objects to explore themes of identity, ideology, desire, fetishism, and fantasy. Using artifacts of popular American culture, I reinterpret their “roles” as I see them. By using existing objects, I merely reorganize their original place in the world. This perhaps allows us to look at the powerful language that appears inherent in “things” and our relationships with them.
